JOHANNESBURG – Capitec clients are up in arms this morning after double deductions were made on their accounts.
It’s understood that Capitec clients using other banks for transactions received notifications of the extra withdrawals.
The issue has been gaining traction on social media.
But, the bank says it’s busy reversing the withdrawals and cardholders will be reimbursed within 24 hours.
Capitec says it’s trying to establish how the retailer was able to deduct the amounts twice.
