Kwadaso Constituency-NPP Inaugurates 2020 Campaign Committee


On Tuesday 25th August, 2020, the Kwadaso Constituency branch of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) inaugurated its Campaign Team as part of the party’s activities towards the 7th December, 2020 general elections.

Dr. Kingsley Nyarko, Parliamentary Candidate of Kwadaso Constituency who doubles as a Co-chair for the Campaign Committee, called on the campaign committee to shoot beyond the moon in the campaign. He termed the constituency’s campaign strategy as “Operation Catch Every Voter Wherever and Whenever You Find Them”. He further made a passionate appeal to the other contestants; Hon. Dr. S. K Nuamah, Mr. Vincent Manu and Madam Josephine Hilda Addo, who lost the opportunity to lead the constituency in the Parliamentary Contest to come on board and equally help the party win massively as he did in the 2016 elections after he lost his bid to represent the constituency. He, in addition pleaded with them to bring their expertise on board to help gear the constituency to a historic victory. Dr. Kingsley Nyarko also used the occasion to praise President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for their unparalleled competence, especially with the splendid management of the Nation’s economy and the COVID-19 pandemic. He, in addition eulogized the government for the numerous poverty eradication policies undertaken under the regime with special mentions as Planting for Foods and Jobs, Free Senior High Education, NABCO, Digitization of the Economy and others. He concluded by spurring all; individually and collectively, to be actively involved in a campaign toward a huge successful end.

Hon. Nana Marfo, Member of Parliament (MP) of Afigya Kwabre North and Representative from Ashanti Regional Office of NPP followed with an applause and commendation of the constituency executives for their hardwork, commitment and dedication towards the party’s development in the constituency. He, in furtherance lauded the constituency executives for ensuring a peaceful and violent-free election in the just ended heated constituency Parliamentary primaries. Hon. Marfo admonished everyone to work harder than before so that the party secures at least seventy five thousand (75,000) to eighty thousand (80,000) of the constituency’s votes in the upcoming 7th December elections.

Hon. Kwadwo Baah Agyeman, Board Chairman of National Sports Authority and Representative from Ashanti Regional Office of NPP after administering the Oat of Office of the Campaign Committee subsequently noted that the 2020 campaign has begun due to the committee’s inauguration. He further posited that this year’s election is a thank you one for the President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s government, because, citizens of Ghana voting overwhelmingly for the NPP would be the best way for Ghanaians to showcase their gratitude to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and his government for the unprecedented achievements and impacts in their respective lives.

Hon. Agyenim Boateng, Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Kwadaso Municipality taking the platform, made a clarion call on the party executives and the entire gathering to embrace peace and hard work. He stated that party faithfuls should constantly look beyond themselves and personal interests, and always consider first the interest of God and entire nation.

Mr. Osei Seventeen, Chairman of the Council of Elders also used the platform to acknowledge everyone for their hard work and tolerance. He urged party members to continue with the emulation of their invaluable dedication and zeal towards the party’s activities in the constituency. He, in furtherance admonished for the continuous exhibition of peace and unity among the party faithfuls. He added that, without peace, unity and dedication, the party cannot achieve anything productive.

Others in attendance were Mr. Yaw Bonnah Boadi, Chairman of Kwadaso Constituency; Constituency Executives; Council of Elders and Patrons; Polling Station Executives; representatives of identifiable groups in NPP; some media houses, and others.
